JEHOVAH JIREH T-SHIRT

The name Jehovah Jireh is very well known in the Christian community. It’s a name you hear often in worship songs and sermons. It’s translated from the scripture of Genesis 22, where God provided the ram for Abraham’s sacrifice. I thought the idea for this t-shirt would come from that famous story, but when I prayed to God about how He has provided in my life, He immediately led me to this passage in Matthew,

-“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?” (‭‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬‬:‭25‬-‭30‬ ‭NIV‬‬)

This scripture is a great reminder that God doesn’t just provide finances and material things, but He provides every good thing we see and experience. Everyday we wake up, He has provided another day for us to grow and glorify Him. He has provided the very breath in our lungs and the heart of flesh that beats for Him. He provides in ways we do not even see because we are His children who He loves deeply. With this revelation, He has made it possible to live a life free of worry and doubt. Put your faith in Jehovah Jireh!
